Tom Duncan
SSI Assistant Instructor
Tom Duncan is an avid scuba diver with a deep love for the underwater world and its ecosystems. Born and raised in Oklahoma, he discovered a fascination with the underwater world at an early age.
After earning the SSI Open Water Certification in 2018, Tom quickly progressed through various levels of training and is currently an SSI Assistant Instructor. With over 6 years of experience, he has explored depths from the murky waters in Oklahoma and Arkansas to the beautiful reefs of Roatan and crystal clear Florida Springs.
Tom's experience as a skilled diver has naturally led him to be an advocate for marine conservation. He's been involved in several initiatives through the Oklahoma Aquarium aimed at protecting marine habitats and raising awareness about the impact of human activity on the ocean. His commitment to sustainability is reflected in his work with organizations like the Oklahoma Aquarium and Blue Oceans, where he contributes to educational programs and conservation efforts.
In addition to diving, Tom enjoys teaching diving courses and sailing. He believes in the importance of sharing knowledge and inspiring others to appreciate the beauty of the ocean, springs and lakes around the world.
Whether leading as a dive guide, teaching new divers, or participating in conservation projects, Tom remains dedicated to fostering a deeper connection between people and the underwater world.
